DIY hacks: Coconut oil mosquito repellent
Nangi coconut oil can be infused with natural mosquito-repelling ingredients to create a homemade mosquito repellent. You can try adding essential oils like citronella, lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint to the coconut oil. These essential oils are known for their mosquito-repelling properties. Here's a basic recipe:
1. Mix 10-15 drops of your chosen essential oil (or a combination of them) with every 2 ounces of nangi coconut oil.
2. Stir the mixture well to ensure the essential oils are evenly distributed.
3. Store the infused oil in a dark, glass container.
To use it, apply a small amount of the infused coconut oil on your skin, or you can even make candles or lotions using this mixture. Keep in mind that natural repellents may not be as effective as commercial mosquito repellents, so reapply as needed. Also, perform a patch test on a small area of your skin to ensure you don't have any allergic reactions to the essential oils.
